The colors..just not there

The colors for local trees are really just not there. Some, but not many and those that do have some good color are loosing their leaves fast and blocked in with telephone poles and utility wires. The places that had such gorgeous showing last year don't this year. I have gone and gone to all kinds of places..just nothing to write home about. I did get part of a tree..I will put it here and I did not enhance it at all. Firstly, I don't have photoshop. I just have freeware and it only does the basics. So the sky really is that blue and the tree leaves really are that reddish orange.

  1. I biggified the photos and the colors are beautiful. You don't need photoshop for them as they are lovely just as they are. It looks like rain is getting ready to move in here. We really do need some.

  2. Very pretty Fall colors there. Trees seemed to have dropped their leaves mostly overnight here. Still haven't had to turn on the heat yet :-)

  3. Our sky is that deep shade of blue today, as well. Sam's been under the weather for a couple of days so we stuck close to home, camped out near Burd Town, and I was so surprised by how blue the sky looked through the viewfinder that I had to double check that I didn't have a polarizer filter mounted.

  4. Nothing needs to be done to these. It's hard to get good pictures with bright sun and you did it like a pro!

  5. Unlike Toodie I had to turn the heat oin last week. The colors are muted around here probably because of the lack of rain this passed summer. I have yet to take any fall pics. Maybe Sunday.

  8. The colors here aren't very vibrant either. That picture I put up of the Big Hill Park should be much more colorful. Guess it's the lack of frosty nights with the sunny days. Oh well, maybe next year.

  9. Those colors against the beautiful blue sky are lovely. We have the same problem here. Even some leaves just turning brown and shriveling up...not very pretty.
