Voting Day November 2, 2010

Hope you have been good citizens and have gone out to vote. I was out of the door fairly early this morning for that and then the exciting times of having my car's oil changed. While they were at it..the place I go to does courtesy inspections and he brought me the cabin air filter that was original with the car..a 2004 model and man, it was almost disintegrated and even had a few small LEAVES in it. But the state it was in was appalling. The Toyota place obviously never checked it during my maintenance check times there at stated mileages, And he was embarrassed that their mechanics never did either. It was 25 bucks to replace but after seeing that and thinking about the smell of the air has got to improve in the car after this!! I "sprung" for it.

Sorry for the months worth of 2007 blogs clogging your readers. This will get over with I promise. I included this May picture on my deck as a wonderful memory. Can't wait to be Farmerette Carole again next Spring.

Meanwhile, what's doing with you guys??

  1. I wondered what the heck was going on with the three-year old posts!

Well, if I lived in the US I'd have voted, definitely. As a Canadian, I won't type my thoughts on US politics or politics in general. Always a hot-button issue for many. Except that I will state that I believe it to be one's civic duty to vote and if you don't, you don't have the right to complain. Ha!

  2. I figure if you don't vote you should not complain to who gets voted into office. That's all I can say about that.. WOW that is a longgggggggg time to have a filter in there.. so happy they brought it to your attention. I miss your daily posts and what is going on in your neck of the woods.. : )

  3. Don't vote, we can't complain as Carol said. And I do believe that we will have plenty to complain about.
I miss you when you don't post.

  4. I missed your posts as well. I just updated my blog header today. It was fun to do. I should have done one for Halloween, oh well. I don't have much to blog about these days.

  6. It always interested me what some of the other guys I worked with would find when they were servicing a car. Seemed that each mechanic had his pet item that nobody else looked for.

  10. Now you have me wondering if our van has such a filter. There's a sour smell when we first turn the fan on, then it dissipates.
Sure hope things take a turn for the better in this country. It'll be interesting to see the results of the election. And if it really means a positive change.

  11. Well I certainly think your car should be running better now. I am so glad my hubby has always done most the work on our cars and kept them running. I still have my first truck I bought in 1978. A Datsun kingcab. Its Hubby's ranch work truck now. Hard to believe it is still running the way he careens around the logging roads at our place. And loads it way to heavy with firewood. That truck has hart. Well lets hope with the election there will be some change. Hah... Yeah I still got to get moving on my repost. Just been so busy with other things. Got to get all those outside jobs done soon. Did finally get the post out on Wildflower. WE had a couple days rain so had time for a couple new posts at both my blogs. Just haven't had time except reposted and occasionally old one. Anyway my friend wishing you a wonderful rest of the week.. Hugs Carrie

  12. I am glad that we returned in time to vote! We are registered for absentee balots so this is an easier thing to do. It's a privlege to vote and we should never neglect that right. You have been busy with the old posts haven't you? I never transfered my stuff from WLS...archiving doesn't mean squat to me...if it's worth being said I'd repeat it here at my new home but I know everyone is different in this regard. Our Honda garage does really well by us even for big maintanance. I think that a trust betrayed in that area is really beyond irritating. Hope you have a great day today Carole.

  13. Yes I voted yesterday. I have a blog in mind about what happened here yesterday. I just need the time to write it
I have never gone to a dealership for my auto repairs. I am lucky to have a very good mechanic. I've been going to him for 25 years.
