What a peerless weekend

We have been gifted with  beautiful beautiful weekend.  As with everyone else, we deserve it as we too have had snow after snow..rain, sleet..the works.  Gloom.  But Saturday and Sunday, 57 and 62 respectively with sun all day.  I sat on the deck after all of the things I had to do, in the sun...reading the paper.  What a pleasure.  Oh, the summer will come and it will be miserably stifling hot and humid and too awful to sit out but I will take these gifts anytime they come along and express gratitude for them.

Beth, love that header on your blog.  Mine is from a shot I took last summer. I'll have to change it eventually.

Meanwhile, here's summer...

  1. Am I Johnny On The Spot or what? What a great day you had today! I was such a slug and never got out of my pjs. Played with Sam & Lucy, caught up on all blog walking, fixed a big pot of homemade soup and now settling down to slugdom grande for the night. LOVE your summer photo. That would make a great header!
Love to you and Admiral :D

  2. I'm so glad someone is enjoying lovely weather! It's going to be April (at least) before we see temps like that here. In the meantime, I'll just enjoy your summer photos!

  3. It was up into the 70's today.
Amazing, and all the cold weather is staying just north of us. So Florida will be quite warm this week. Windows were left open and the kitties got their wiffs in.

  6. I only wish that our weekend stayed warm but we are getting a drive by freezing by the storm that's about to slam the Central United States...goodness it isn't as bad as it sounded at first, bad news: Love still isn't home and I'm missing her something fierce.

  7. It actually got up to 36 degrees here yesterday, not nearly so warm today. Bracing for the storm to come.
Of course you know the pansy is my favorite flower, always has been since I was a child.

Great flower shot. All I can take pictures of is snow. Hey I could take pictures of the dirty snow.
Oh and by the way, watch out where the huskies go and don't you eat the yellow snow.

  14. We've sure been enjoying the sunshine and warmth! Tomorrow we're in line rain..100% chance. We've been keeping an eye on the storm heading to the north of us...right where we used to live. We have family and friends who will be dealing with that mess.
Love your yellow flower...a spot of sunshine.
