The Gift That Keeps Giving

Well, not a gift really.  I made salmon patties last night with the best canned salmon out there.  No, seriously.  There is a taste difference.  Royal Pink is the brand.  Anyway, I made the patties and I could hardly wait for them to cook, I just wanted some so badly.  They did and I had two.  Nothing else..just the patties.  As expected and as usual, hours later I had the salmon patties a current thing going on.

I can never eat them without memories lingering on and on and on.  In other words, they were right there nearby..indigestion-wise and urpping-wise.  I keep saying it's worth it but admittedly I don't fix them nearly as often as I would like to because they are so hard to digest for me.  I went straight to the TUMS and had two.  Took care of it. Thank goodness.  This morning my mouth was watering wanting more so that was my breakfast too,  and yes, it's time for the TUMS again.

Our blogging family seems to be alright so far with those I have heard from in hers or my blog.  WHEW!!!

  1. I'm not much of a fish person but on occasion there can be exceptions. Lovely is a total seafood person so I've learned to adapt. The hurricane has been the talk of the town and will likely continue to be so. I haven't heard of any we know hurt so that is indeed a good thing. It's hot and I've got a baptism today so that's my excitement of the day. Bless you Carole, have a great day!

  2. Mom finds that certain foods bother her innards if she doesn't :buffer" them with some plain carbs at the same time, like rice or potato. Those salmon cakes sound deelicious: good luck with the indigestion!

  3. I love salmon patties. Been awhile since I made them. Steve is making us brunch at this very moment. Not sure what he is making but will soon find out, and it is always very delicious, and I haven't eaten yet today, other than my morning coffee, so now I am really hungry.

Take care and have a Blessed Day, Carole.

  6. I dearly love fried salmon too and can't quit eating them. The last can I bought I threw out, smelled like the can. It was the kind that was supposed to be the wild ones, not pond grown, which have color added to them.

On your revolvermap, you'll see I'm now from Norristown,PA. I'm still puzzled about it.

  12. I'm not a fish eater and I can't even stand the smell of salmon. My husband and mil love it and he makes it for them once in awhile. Same with liver. Just the thought makes my stomach turn.
