STILL Waiting

I found that the "bridge" in other words the piece that bridges the two towers of the wall unit is also defective.  I took pictures and I called the customer service place again.  I told them and they will replace that too..all of this is supposed to happen Thursday between 9-1.  SIGH.  Then I need to wait for my son to come over and reinsert the TV etc and hook them up.  And bolt the stuff to the wall if finally I have undamaged pieces.  So that's a damaged console and bridge I have.  Half of the unit which is, understandably four pieces.   Of course it's supposed to rain to beat the band all day tomorrow and half the day Thursday.  I have off white carpet so unless I want to wait even longer, that leaves it up to me to find something to cover all of the carpet these drivers will be stomping on, uncaring,  in here with wet muddy feet.

If I sound like a sour grape that's because I am.  My plans are put off almost two weeks (new pet) my son has to be bothered not once but twice. (so far).

  2. Yes, that's defective!! It's another hassle to go through, and I'd be frustrated too. Good luck - I do hope the delivery happens on Thursday.

  3. So sorry you're having this problem. Surely it'll be delivered this time in fine shape. And let's pray that everything goes smoothly.

  4. You can buy a cheep Tarp from woven plastic at the lumberyard or hardware store, that will help keep the big footprints off of the carpets. Good luck with the wall unit. The tarps come in many different sizes.

  6. I would also want to expose the company if they don't get it right on Thursday. But better that you noticed when you did.

    Good luck protecting the carpet.

  7. Well, I'd be p*ssed off about this too, Carole.

    But a couple of things:

    1. Your son can just "bother" himself as much as necessary. You carried him for 9 months, gave birth, raised him. He can put himself out a little bit. (Good thing I'm not a mom to human kids, I'd be just like my own mother. LOL.)

    2. I don't see this as delaying your new kitten/cat at all. For all that I doubt any cosmic forces and meaning to life, I do happen to think that in your case, the right companion will be there for you, at the right time. Oh, maybe I'm not explaining what I mean. It's not a delay because when the cosmic forces are in alignment, you will meet each other. :-)

I have found cheapo plastic tablecloths make a good tarp. I agree that you will find your new friend when the time is right :)

  9. I think they should carry this whole unit away and bring you a brand new one.

Take your throw rugs and make a path and tell the guys to walk on them.

  10. I agree with Beth. They should replace the whole thing. That's just so sad. I'll bet it would have looked so nice. I would expose them too if they don't make it right.

  11. How annoying. I'm not sure if I'll be as patient if I were in your shoes. When contractors / delivery people come to our place, I put 2 big towels on the floor and make them wipe their feet before coming in.

  14. I always make them take their boots off! In fact some of them do anyway out of politeness!! I hope all will be sorted for you soon, Carole. Oh and agree with above comments that the right little furball will be ready for you when the time comes :) x

  15. Whew! I finally made it. I started to read some blogs Then I started having trouble staying on the page at Nancy's place. I finally got in after a message thatr explorer was having trouble reaching Blogger. I waited aboiut an hour and finally made it in.
Cute email by the way. I sent it off to some animal lovers I know.

I hope this company takes care of you. So many companies are indifferent to customers once they get your money.
