Hair Cut in March

I had my long hair cut in March I think it was.  I took a cell phone pic of the hair on the floor after it had been cut.  What amazed me was it, my hair was straight.  It was bottom of the shoulder blade length.  So she cut it and when I looked down, it was all curls!  I asked how that could happen.  (The shorter curls are from the already existing layers on the top and sides) She didn't know but said my hair always looked curly when wet even as long as it was.  True enough.   Put a comb to it though, and it was and stayed straight as an arrow.

We thought with it being cut off to above the shoulder length, it would wave and curl what with no weight.

Didn't happen.  Just some wiggles in the hair that are very unattractive.  So one must needs use the flat iron or whatever.

Back from work out and could not think of anything interesting to say..but then, I never do.

  1. I've been meaning to get a hair cut since earlier this year but with so many things happening, it kept getting put off. But now the weather is horrendous and I am so tempted to shave it all off!
PS/ Merlene is all hissy, even with me and Whisky whom she used to love to play with. :( Boomie says he's coming over and yes, chick-hen would be nice. xoxo

  2. It's interesting your cut hair is all curly! I have a straight hair and it keeps straight when cut off :-) It reminds me that I will need a cut soon...I feel my head is heavy when hair grows too long.
I wish you have a wonderful week!!

  3. I have just enough wave in my hair to make it want to twig out here and there. Next week is time for my hair cut.

  4. I have to use the straightening iron on my hair every day, with my current style--such as it is. Just a few chunks in the front, so they don't flip out and look ridiculous. My hair has just enough wave to make it difficult, not enough wave to have actual curl.

  5. Well, now. I have found ALL your blogs interesting.:)
I am not one to be happy with very much length to my hair. I just give mine a "lick and a promise," and get on with the day!

    Have a good day!

  6. Maybe someone should study your hair! :-) My hair is what it is whether it is on my head or off. I have naturally curly hair, but it only starts to curl when it gets a few inches long. So, I keep it short. Back in the early 1970s my hair was shoulder length. It looked "interesting", to say the least. No photos of it...ha! :-)

  7. So where is the photo of you with a new do. I had my hair cut last month, cut it down to a quarter inch. Now I have a suntan on my head from being in the garden so much. Feels real good to be outside in the garden, in the Sun puddles.

  8. I think you probably had a touch of naturally curly hair. I have heard of this happening before. It's probably really naturally wavy, but when laying on the floor and a couple of inches long, it just curls up because the wave doesn't know what else to do. My m0ther said I used to have naturally wavy hair too, but I've never seen it that way and there is certainly no indication of that presently.d

  12. I'm in need of a hair cut as well, though I suspect I don't have nearly as much hair as you do. I will limp off to the barber later today.

  13. Always love your posts. Straight hair curls on the floor? Must be one of those things that make you say HMMMMMMMMMM! Does curly hair fall is straight piles on the floor? HMMMMM! Lol, just thought I'd have a little fun.

  14. My hair has a natural wave to it that makes it impossible if it gets too long...thus it's never been very long. We will go from the nineties to the seventies by tomorrow. It seems the weirdness never ends here. I guess the bright side is I don't have to wait all day for the heat to pass before walking. Have a good one my friend.

  16. Carole, guess I can't master that email address thing.:) I shopped at Ingles for that chicken, but other markets may have it. I was just pretty sure Ingles would, so I didn't try others first.
