Oh YUM!

I have never cared for the name Nutella and I never knew what it tasted like because I was put off by the name.  Nothing on its jar said anything that "spoke" to me either hence...I have never tried it.  It's expensive too.

I asked several folks if it was good.  They attested to me that it was.  But they never explained how it was good.

Today I found a little two sectioned snack pack with tiny bread sticks in one side and Nutella in the other.  Still too much $$ but, it was less expensive that the big jar so I bought it today.

Oh! MY! GOODNESS!  That is the most delicious spread I could ever imagine having.  Horribly calorific (I like that made up word!) so one couldn't have much at one sitting but good?  It's like chocolate icing!  No one ever said that and I will beware of ever buying the large jar.  For that matter, after this experience I will beware of a small jar.  If I ever have it again it will be one of those tiny snack packs I got today.  It is too too good.

Arctic Vortex and now...rain.  And more rain.

Who published in their blog a recipe for BBQ Meatloaf, please?

xxoox

  1. Oh-yes-Nutella. I never had it until my grandgirls came along. Only one of the three likes it and she likes it with Nutella one side of the bread and regular peanut butter on the other side. I am guessing it tastes like a peanut butter cup? lol Her sister does NOT like CHOCOLATE. Where did this alien come from, I wonder! Enjoy-even if it is in small doses. xo Diana

  3. I've never had it, though know it tastes good. However, the quantity of sugar in it is well, nuts. LOL.

  4. I didn't have the Barbeque Meatloaf. The one I posted was for Slow-Cooker Meatloaf and used marinara sauce.

Nutella is something I have to refrain from trying myself! Too, too good!:-) xo

  6. Gosh, guess I'm living in the dark ages here because I've never had Nutella either. May have to give it a try someday - then maybe I hadn't better if it is that good.

  9. I've been eating Nutella since I was a little girl. My dad ended up spreading the Nutella on my bread after he found that I would finish a WHOLE SMALL JAR in a week (I LOVED it that much).
I still love Nutella today and sometimes I would just stick a spoon in and dig out a spoonful and let it melt in my mouth. Sinful, for sure. But oh, so SO SO good.
Since I don't eat bread all the time, my large jar of Nutella can last a few months. Recently a supermarket sold them at half the price because it was near expiry and I bought 3 large bottles and finished them in record time. LOL.

  10. Nutella good but too rich for me. I do keep some on hand for recipes etc..you are right the price has skyrocketed. Kids adore it, with Peanut Butter it is really GOOD! Rain here too and now everything is ICY.. boy this winter sure is long and weird. Take care Hugs

  11. You are funny! I never bought Nutella because I knew what was in it...too dangerous and yes, expensive. Love that word, "calorific". ~xo~

  17. It got so bad that I used to eat Nutella and peanut butter on a spoon. Like a Reese's Cup, only hazelnutty. Bad but so good. I have since resigned myself to never have it in my home again as I cannot control myself.

  18. Everyone copes with things differently and I found that my coping mechanism for losing Abby was falling into the Nutella jar. I too had never tried it,but from the first bite I was hooked. Carole I wont tell you how many jars of it I went through and the weight I gained but finally two weeks ago I stopped cold turkey. I wanted to, I needed to, but until that moment I couldn't. The stress was just too much. Nutella is fabulous and addictive -- what is is 2 tablespoons like 200 calories.

  19. I've never tried Nutella, or never known actually. Maybe because I don't usually buy spreads... BUT now, after reading your post, I gotta get one!! Though I will look for the smallest jar...it sounds too dangerous to get a big one :-) :-)
