Which Way Did it Go?

Time, I mean.  Where has it gone? What did it take with it that belonged to me? We'll be staring Thanksgiving in the face in no time, And then, Christmas. And if we are fortunate...another new year. It's so corny and over-used a phrase and yet so true that time flies quickly. Like flowers and grasses in a field we are come and gone in a day I believe the book says.

Here it is:  I just looked it up.  copied and pasted..."As for man, his days are like grass, he blooms like flowers of the field; when the wind passes over, it vanishes, and its place remembers it no more.…"

Rather sobering, ain't it? I am in no way morose, worried, or anything else.  Just talking.  Just so you know. When you wake tomorrow morning, notice time as you walk away from the bed. You have a set pattern fairly much...breakfast, feed pets if any, straighten up, go to work.  Look up and it's mid-morning.  Blink, and it's lunch time.  What?  How did it get to be lunch time?  I just got up.  Turn around twice and it's evening and supper time.  A few hours later, bedtime and the "rewind" occurs...there you are, repeating the entire sequence.

We've many of us had that occasion of really noticing ourselves in the mirror and getting surprised at the face looking back.  I get a surprise on occasion.  I thought I was 17.  There have been quite a few times I felt 17 years age.  Act like it too.  If you know me personally, you know it is true. (In my mind).

Anyway, Happy Fall to come.  Stay 17 if you can.  Boundless energy and of course, you know everything when you are 17!

The household, town, world, would be better if they would only heed your advice. You are invincible, and you have already taken on the world.  I sure did.

Two mama's and two sets of babies.  The world moves on and without us directing it.
