Loving my Children

Well, on January 14th, it will be one of my son's birthday.  The one that lives over the Mountains.  I don't know why I am here typing.  If I want to get a decent amount of reading in before bed, I need to be in there holding the book.  My gosh.  Katie preceded me and she's propped against my pillow.  I'll ask her to move.

I found she is intensely tired of Fancy Feast and Science Diet hard food.  I have stopped giving them to her for now.  I went out and bought a no-brainer,  Royal Canin. A statue of a cat would eat that.  I don't know what they do but I haven't heard of any cats saying they would not eat it.  It costs 3 times as much as FF and SD foods, but the girl has to eat.  She was wrestling me for MY food which would never have been good for her.  I kept trying and wasting many cans of food to get her to eat.  A score of flavors.  Thrown out.

She is eating much better with the R.C. food and her meds have done a great thing with her.  She has gone back to close to normal. I got out her wooden puzzle box and she is enjoying it.  I take it up after a month and wait 3 or more months before I bring it back out. I put kibble in it,  Love seeing her reaching in and holding it to ferry it to her mouth.

You know I used to always commemorate the boys on each one's birthday and on Mother's Day.  Even Father's Day, as I served as both mother and father.  I give much love to other parents who serve as both to their children as well, and I feel that way still.  Here is the birthday boy (first haircut)

The love and appreciation I have for my three Honor graduates from their Universities is huge.  They worked to achieve from Kindergarten on.  I home-taught them from infancy onward until they did indeedgo to school.  My work was extremely demanding and they did as they knew they must.  They studied,  and each year was a testament to their work ethic.  The son who is having a birthday on the 14th has distinguished himself many times.  On the next one's birthday, I will tell how proud of him and always have been, and his success as well.  And the third one, I will say the same on his day.   Proud to be their mother.

Thank you for reading this...I am just overflowing with gratitude that they are mine; and that they love me.  People who have blogged with me over time know I have always written of them each birthday as I said before.  One gives thanks.
