Well, of Course

I just peeled and ate two Minneola Tangelos. OH my word, those things are so good!!!!  I washed them down with the rest of the red grapes I had.  I managed for the first time in two years to find some grapes that were normal in size...not those huge ones big as golf balls just about, grapes they are forcing on us now.  I exaggerated a little, not much, to make a point about the size. "Forcing" because there is no other choice but the huge ones.  I don't like large grapes.  I got lucky the other day.

OH.  I paid the price, but it was worth it. What?  I bought my Egglands Best eggs again, and finally, they were available.  These were cage-free brown eggs and the shells were wonderfully hard!  The cost was even higher than the standard white Egglands best.  But the store brands eggs have been like frying water, they were so thin in the pan, and relatively tasteless.  I had decided to stop having eggs in the morning until I saw a few Egglands Best out at quite a price hike.  Worth it.

Miss K. here said she is starting to be a pill about her foods again.  I have been in the pet food areas all over town so much in the past several months that I probably look like I'm casing the joints!

I made me a big pot of vegetable beef soup yesterday.  Ate a (very) LARGE bowl of it last night and another even larger bowl for lunch today..and I'll have more for supper.  Wish you were here!  Hate to eat by myself but there I am.  All the more for me though.

I took a page from a new friend's book and headed out into the wilds of the park this morning.  Have to work my way back up to speed, I see.  But I loved it.  Had the iPhone earpods in and I was listening to '70s through '90s music with a few in the early 2000's.

See ya Bye and thank you for reading.  That cat's expression in the cartoon cracked me up.

The Arms of Morpheus

Morpheus has a BAD habit of dropping me hard to the floor after he has held me for what he considers to be long enough!

Morpheus  He drops me to the floor, and I think kicks me lightly at least, to set me rolling!  Last night or this morning really, I woke again in the middle of the night.  Found out more people have that happen than I ever thought!  I was sure I was the only one in the world who woke like that.  Nope.  When my oldest who was here with me two years as I took care of him during the horrible for him, several years of dreadful sickness...I had to get up at about 0330 every night seven days a week for years.  I think it got me "trained" to wake up at that time.  Can't get over it I guess.  But I made it to 0415 this time!  Laid there another 40 minutes with an earworm keeping me company...sigh...so I got up.  Katie was aghast!

Still colder'n kraut out there! But after mid week coming up it will get a bit warmer.  Kate and I have had welcome company every day this week.  We thought more today, but were told not to expect them.

Had NO idea how expensive it is to get new windows. My middle boy took sales callers coming by the house several days now after school, and mn, there are some shysters out there.  He's already done his homework on all who were coming over to estimate, measure, etc.  The first one quoted a price of $57,000.00.  WHAT? WHAT?  I say, WHAT? Of course that was refused...he went down over 25,000.00. Shows you how they hope to gouge you hard! The next guy started lower, and they talked a lot about it.  He has more men coming to estimate, but that will be the man to beat.  He called me last night at 8, we talked a good hour and 3/4th.  But it is going to be a high price.  That seems to be the way it is.  Other son (and Katie's Client's parents, ) paid nearly that amount for their place.  Part of that was because of requirements from their HOA.  Both boys have big homes.  The middle one has a two-story house and a gang of windows!

I am going to start calling to see about having insulation blown here at my home, in the walls.  Probably $$$$$$$$$.

Aren't I just a barrel of entertainment?  Heeee.

Gonna Snow Again!

Hey Guys (and Gals) it's fixin' to snow tomorrow.  Getting Winter Weather Advisories the past several days.  Shouldn't be much but temps going into the teens. I have used more natural gas (heating) this year than usual.

Thanks for putting up with my mushy posts about the kids.  Love those rascals.  I worked like nobody's business too, to keep us eating and dressed. It worked, thank Goodness, and we are all through that and on the other side so to speak.

Want to see this morning's pretty sky out of the window and screen?  It's pretty.

I've had this little Lady Cat for a good 20-25 years.  She is jointed and her wings move.  I have to be very careful with her.  Her legs fell off for pity's sake, and I liked to never have gotten them hooked back on tonight! Wanted to show her off to you, and the Cat Angel you see soaring I got waaaay back when Robin, our Tortie passed.   That Angel oversees all our fur family and is much loved by all of us here.

Katie showed this off in her, Katie Isabella's blog,Christmas Day.  Her Client's parents gave it to me for Christmas.  It's stained glass and I am trying to find a way to mount it to where the window light will show it off.  One dear friend in the Cat Blogosphere came up with a possible do-able way.  I will see if I can get someone to do it.  ( I am not handy)

I'll quit and see what the newest MacOS update is about before I sign off.  As Spock would say, "Peace, And long life".
