Dizzy Do and Day

I have days when jobs around the house that no one visiting would really notice they needed doing, or if they were done...get done.

Today, one that has to be done, I'll grant, got done.  Dumping out the litterbox~ swabbing it out, adding new litter, and sweeping the kitchen..why just around the litterbox I always think.  That done, I went into the bathroom and put my knee pads on to start swabbing the deck while on my hands and knees.  It's such a small room that I can't bring myself to buy a mop just for that.

Emptied the kitchen and all the other trashes and took it out.  Hauled an extremely heavy can to the streetside.  I only have to have it taken and emptied twice a month. So it gets full and heavy.  Changed the linens on the beds...and I can see I will have to re-fold all the towels in the linen closet even though things are neat...they are too thick from the way I folded them and taking up more room than I have for them.

Have the shower head soaking in CLR to remove built-up mineral deposits.  Did the wash, dry, fold,  put away deal, and then, headed to the grocery store.

Have a brand new fountain pen  I got a week ago so I've been using that for list making.  If only stationery could still be be found.  Gotta root around on the tippy top shelf in the bathroom closet (which is too high for Shortie here,) and try to get something down.  I'll be on the small step stool I have..but it'll be an awful stretch.  Polished furniture..cleaned and refreshed the hummingbird's feeder.

Alrighty.  Here's a Poll!

What is the worst disaster to happen when you are still applying mascara (which is wet!!!)

1.  An earthquake

2.  Hunger Pangs

3.  Car goes by and blows the horn

4. A 13 sneeze in a row extravangza!

My vote?  Number 4!!  Quite wet eyelashes, dark mascara and:  one sneeze after the other in rapid succession thirteen times in a row requiring the eyes to be squeezed shut each sneeze!
The result ain't purty.  Your family tree must include raccoons!  You share their eyes!

One of the boys sent this...

Case of the Exploding Beans

Scene of the Crime/Explosion

Fellow mystery lovers!  Help me solve or at least placate me on The Case of the Exploding Beans.  When I say the distance etc. I will not be exaggerating.

I have been eating less for well over a month now.  I measure food now, watching carbs, (but not keto, etc). Just put the bread in the freezer pretty much, and watch out for other sources. of carbs.  No really terrible deprivation.  I have given up sweets largely, except for a peppermint patty when it gets too hard to not have any sweets.  They are 150 calories (they used to say 144) and yes, I do count those.  With aerobics, albeit low-impact ones, I way more than burn those calories, and having one is worth it as I see it.  I'm losing weight well.

On to the beans.  I try to include more protein in my choices.  I do have snacks, but they are different.  No bread, no sweets except graham crackers and peppermint patties.   I will get to the point. {First...I will say I cleaned and polished the wooden kitchen floor Saturday afternoon.} My supper was meager- hence I opened a can of pinto beans...the "good" brand.  I spooned two-thirds of a cup into a measuring cup and poured it into a bowl for warming.  I turned to get some sweet pepper relish out of the fridge.  Fridge door open, me with my head in it. Now...how this next happened (and NO exaggeration at all in what I say.  I promise. ) I heard a loud glass sound -but I continued looking for the jar of relish.  Finally, giving up I turned.  I saw the bowl on the floor... the beans were on the floor...some were on the counter, and there was bean juice running down THREE cabinet doors.  THREE!  How in the world did it get on three cabinet doors... and the juices running into a sticky puddle on my wooden floor.  The cat had been investigating..and got juice onto her furs.  There were beans and juice as far away as the stove and into the doorway to the living room.  There was juice and three beans ON the stove.  It took most of the paper towels I had left...a change of slippers as I had to walk thru the mess...and I STILL found beans in the  dish drainboard later!  There was juice on the oven door for pity sakes!

My knees don't work well anymore because of years of repeated injury dropping to my knees on the range with weapons qualifications- so I can't squat low as I can't bend them like that anymore...so I had to bend from the waist and try to get as many beans up as possible. Then, the juice. I had to get out the "mop" again and spray cleaner for wood onto the floor and do the floor all over again.  Skated around on the floor with thick rags under my feet to buff.  Finally got to pour the remainder of my beans into a bowl, and eat them.  Sheesh!

Sure filled my rings on the iWatch as those with one know what I mean.  I was maybe 50 points under on the work ring but with that, and my weightlifting, I gotter done! (dumbbells not barbells).  (Just 10-pound ones. )

NO idea how in the world that happened or how they got spread so far--- and it seemed the juice multiplied by 10's!!!
