What a Time of It.

Almost started out this by saying "KITTIES"!  I must have been channeling Katie...who is snoring peacefully in the background in her beddie.

However, I was going to say I decided to go to the park again today. Yesterday was raining cats and dogs, so no..  And when I got there this morning some old talkin' buddies were coming around the bend and I thought...Oh no.  I'll be standing here freezing.   But though we stood there talking for half an hour or so, I got started finally and found I was doing my thing much easier!  It won't take too much time to get back to where I should be.  Yesterday, by the way, the temperature got to 84!  The a/c kicked on at 1230!  It continued turning on all the rest of the day into night.  I had the thermostat on 75.  Today, freezing cold..hat, winter jacket, and gloves. Heat on in the house.  I was wearing capris yesterday.  Today,  a heavy sweatshirt and equally heavy sweatpants.    Fell asleep again with her this afternoon following lunch after 325 mg of acetaminophen and half a muscle relaxer again.  Worked the day before yesterday and again today.  Not suffering badly at all.

Went to bed last night... a very light blankie over me- and the top sheet.   Slept quickly.  Woke at 0315 hotter than the proverbial firecracker.  The blanket was too warm and pulled to my chin.  SHE was snugged in along my waist and upper legs, throwing off epic heat.  My pillow gathered heat because of the foam, and reflected it back. My neck was sweating for pity sake!  She was taking up the entire rest of the bed and up against me so I couldn't just throw the blanket off the way I would have done.  It would have covered her!  Maybe she'd smother!

I laid there boiling.  A good half an hour passed.  HOT hot HOT.  Finally, I thought "you are going to have to disturb her".  I pulled the pillow out and turned it over.  I didn't know she left, but after a few more minutes I felt  the area to my left and she was gone.  SO! I threw that cloak of fire off me.  Then I went back to sleep.

The Wind Was Blowin'

I didn't plan it..I just went on impulse  But I headed to my favorite park this morning.  It was 70 degrees which is perfect.   The wind blew so hard my hair looked similar to how Medusa must have looked to those who surprised her as she relaxed at home among the rocks, etc. (to each his own.)

Come with me next time!

This is a greenway trail. They are all over town.   If you get chiggers, don't look at me!

My hair is long and it was blown out in tendrils and spikes everywhere around my head with the near gale force warm wind.   (yeah, I didn't have snakes, but you get the drift). (Of course in this picture Medusa's head was removed from the rest of her so...we won't go there.)   Anyhoo, my baseball hat was blown off my head even though I had it nailed on, and I got plenty of exercise chasing it!

The wind was a pleasure to me.  Usually, I am so persnickety about my hair- but not this time.  Let 'er fly!

After making the rounds and rounds on the path...I went back to the car and headed to two places to find fertilizer for my camellia and my azaleas.  Early I suppose in the season so it was quite a search.  Got that done.  Got home, had lunch, sorta, and did a few needed things in the house such as the dishes.  I sat for a little while after an hour or so flying about the house and yard fertilizing the plants and rose.  I found my back and side of my calf had begun to hurt!  Apparently, all my aerobics did not keep me in as good a shape as I would have thought.  So..I had to take a small dose of acetaminophen  (325 mg)  and half a muscle relaxer.  Tomorrow will tell me how I am.

The partly cloudy and occasional sun really did a huge good thing for me.  Glad I went out.  But...mid-afternoon, someone wearing a Tux and I snuggled for a half-hour nap.

See you here I hope.   If not, I'll make Katie read it.
